Established in Rawalpindi in 2017, 'Mera Ghar' stands as the second branch of Bazeecha Trust, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to serving as a shelter home and safe haven for women and young girls facing difficult circumstances. This transformative project has emerged with the goal of providing support, education, and empowerment to those who are less fortunate, striving to uplift them towards a brighter future.

At the core of 'Mera Ghar' is an unwavering commitment to the education and personal growth of young girls. Recognizing the transformative power of education, we place it at the forefront of our mission. Our dedicated team tirelessly works to ensure that every girl who enters our doors receives quality education, enabling them to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in life. Additionally, we provide vocational training, equipping them with practical skills that foster independence and self-sufficiency. 'Mera Ghar' serves as a nurturing environment, offering a safe and secure space where these young girls can flourish. Our holistic approach encompasses not only their educational needs but also their physical well-being. We provide them with shelter, nutritious food, and a supportive community that encourages their personal and emotional growth.

Currently, we are proud to support 114 girls at 'Mera Ghar' and an additional 40 girls at the original Bazeecha Shelter Home. Each girl under our care receives individual attention, tailored guidance, and mentorship, ensuring that they are well-prepared to become active and independent citizens of society. Our ultimate goal is to empower these young girls, instilling in them the belief that they have the potential to shape their own destiny. By equipping them with the tools for success and fostering an environment of compassion and support, we aspire to break the cycle of poverty and create a positive ripple effect within their lives and communities.

Through the concerted efforts of our dedicated team, committed volunteers, and generous donors, 'Mera Ghar' and Bazeecha Shelter Home have become beacons of hope and opportunity for these young girls. Together, we are committed to providing them with a nurturing environment, quality education, and essential life skills, ensuring they have the foundation they need to build a brighter future.

Our Story

Our journey began in 2017 with an unexpected encounter that forever changed our lives. It was the moment we met Hoorain, a remarkable young girl who brought a newfound sense of joy and purpose to our home for elderly women. Hoorain's presence illuminated the beauty of nurturing and supporting young minds, and we realised that our calling extended far beyond our initial mission.

With each new addition to our shelter, we felt a deep sense of fulfillment and unity, as if our family was growing in both size and purpose. We recognised the need to create a safe and loving environment for girls of all ages, providing them with the care, guidance, and opportunities they deserve. And so, our journey transformed us into a shelter that warmly embraces and nurtures young girls, empowering them to overcome challenges and flourish. But our story doesn't stop here. We believe that our purpose is not just about the girls we welcome into our home; it's about the connections we forge with the wider community. We are incredibly grateful to have piqued your interest in Mera Ghar, and we eagerly look forward to the possibility of opening our doors to you. By joining hands with like-minded individuals like yourself, we can create an even more inclusive and supportive environment for the girls in our care.

Together, we will continue to write our story, guided by compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being and future of the young girls who find solace and hope within our walls. We invite you to become part of this transformative journey, as we work towards building a brighter future for every girl who seeks refuge and love at Mera Ghar.
